After dominating the day 2 India would be looking to do well on the 3rd Day.
Day 3:
1st Innings:
India continued batting but were bowled out quickly. The pick of their batsmen was Cheteshwar Pujara who scored an unbeaten 145*(289) balls with 14 boundaries to his name.
Sri Lankan bowlers quickly got the Indian tail out.
The pick of their bowlers was Dhammika Pasad with bowling figures of 26-4-100-4.
Sri Lanka came out to bat. The did not get a good start as they kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. They did not get any good partnerships going. They just kept tumbling like a pack of cards. At the near end they had a few good partnerships which saved them from getting a follow on.
The pick of their batsmen was Kushal Parera who scored 55(56) balls with 9 boundaries to his name.
Indian bowlers bowled faboulusly. Everything they did went right for them. They not even put pressure but also kept geeting the wickets at crucial situations. The spearhead Ishant Sharma was just brilliant.

2nd Innings.
India came out to bat with a good lead in the second innings. They lost 3 early wickets and are in trouble. The day was seen off by Virat and Rohit.
The pick of their batsmen was Rohit Sharma who scored 14*(10) balls with 1 six to his name.
Sri Lankan bowlers got the early wickets before the end of the day.
The pick of their bowlers was Nuwan Pradeep with bowling figures of 3-1-6-2.
It was the day which was dominated by the bowlers.
