The story after the 3rd day of the England West Indies teat match. West Indies have played superbly to get to the first innings score of the England team but couldn't reach it.
West Indies have batted superbly to get near to that score. Overnight they had lost 4 wickets and has a nice partnership between Chanderpaul and Blackwood. On Day 3 Chanderpaul got out by missing a half century by 4 runs. But Black wood went on playing well and scored his maiden ton and also put West Indies out of trouble. He was not out at the end of the day as he kept loosing partners at the other end. If he would have had someone to be with him then he would have got his team in a very commanding position and would be ahead of the hosts England.
He was the pick of the batsmen for West Indies. He scored 112*(220) balls with 14 boundaries and 2 sixes to his name.
The pick of the bowlers for the England team again was James Tredwell who had a very good bowling figure of 26-12-47-4.
England started their second innings with a first innings lead of 104 runs. They did not get a good start and lost their openers very early and then Ian bell also got out. They did not have a good partnership going. After they were 3 down Gary Ballance and Joe Root got a nice partnership going. They remained not out at the end of the day. Pick of their batsman was Gary Ballance who scored 44*(113) balls with four boundaries to his name. He would be looking to make it a big one on the next day.
West Indies bowled well again and the pick of their bowlers was Jerome Taylor with bowling figures of 8-4-12-2.
