LA Galaxy vs Chicago Fire-Postmatch


The defending Champion LA Galaxy   kicked off with 2-0 win over Chicago Fire at the opening match of the MSL 2015 season and grabs first win of 2015. Jose Villarreal and Robbie Keane scored as the Galaxy topped the fire.

Los Angeles- It was a prizewinning for Mexican-American Jose Villarreal as the LA scored the first goal of the 2015 MLS season in his comeback to Galaxy.

It was the 2015 MLS Opener for both the teams. It seemed to overthrown a frustrating season that was ended in October after the team missed the MSL Cup playoffs and at the another hand Galaxy were celebrating the 5th MLS cup as the defending Champions of 2014 season.

Villarreal tallied the game first goal in 65th minute after the turnover in the box cost Chicago dearly an MLS season opener. The fire defense, screw up the clearance fling and the Villarreal grooved across the box and shot across his body as the ball just got by keeper Sean Johnson.



The Galaxy built precedence in possession (53 percent and the greater most of the evening) and shots (13-8) but attempt to create a articulate attack despite creating nearly two dozen opportunities. 

The misconception proved to be costly for Chicago as this team did not got more contingency  after that. Villarreal came off the pitch to  a standing applause by his homeland crowd in the 70th minute as super-sub, Alan Gordon, replaced him on the pitch.

Robbie scored the second goal and made it 2-0 Galaxy when he took a pass off the back of the head of Husidic and drive it home. It was the first goal of the season for the 2014 MLS MVP.

The first half was scoreless for both the teams, but it was only a matter of time for one of the aristocratic teams in the MLS to break through. In the first half the Fire was again and again challenged by the Galaxy and had all the chances as they out-shot Chicago 7 to 2 in the first 45 minutes.
