Here out comes John Cena. Cena shows Rusev turning down his challenge last week. Cena says that brings him to tonight.
Cena says as much as he would love to hand Rusev his first defeat and raise the United States Title at WrestleMania, he’s not going to complain if it’s not meant to be. He’s going to accommodate and overcome because that’s what he does and also implies Rusev is a conspicuous man and sooner or later, he will get his hands on him. Cena enters himself in the Andre, the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and fans chant started "boo".
Stephanie blow into the scenario. She comes to the ring. Cena says that’s what everyone is doing for the Battle Royal. Stephanie says it hears like you are trying to demoralize Andre the Giant. She shows us Andre on the Titan Tron and praises him and shows the photo of her at 8 years old sitting on Andre’s knee. Stephanie says no, you can't be in the Andre Battle Royal. Cena says she wasn’t the bitch she is now by looking at that photo. Cena says he wasn’t trying to dispraise Andre. Stephanie says Cena couldn’t get the match against Rusev, it’s time they find someone who can. Stephanie scares Cena to leave off of WrestleMania. She says WWE isn’t meant "Cena". She say WWE players like Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan and others thought WWE would depart if they leave but the company continued to the throne. Stephanie says,"I think the fans want to see Cena sit out of WrestleMania" and there’s a mixed reaction, mostly there was “yes!” chants. She says Cena isn’t exceptional or different and says it’s not where would WWE be without Cena, it’s where would Cena be without WWE. Cena looks down.

The music hits and here arrived Curtis Axel to the stage. Axel says not to change the channel. He’s been in the Royal Rumble for 35 days and counting now and puts himself over and say he can defeat Rusev at WrestleMania. Axel tells he also met Andre as a child. He knows that he’s already in the Battle Royal. Axel sucks up to Stephanie and calls her a ambitious and says her words are an awakening. She thanks him. A huge “Axelmania” chant starts. She says it seems like Axel’s is on the rise while Cena’s is falling. She declared a match right now and fans cheer.
Stephanie tells that the only way Cena can face Rusev at WrestleMania is if Cena can change Rusev’s mind. She wishes him good luck. Axel asks Cena what he’s will do when Axelmania runs wild on him. Axel tears his t-shirt and Cena says. He’s serious and tells Axel he gives one chance to leave the ring. He suggest Axel he cannot walk out of the ring if the match starts and A “Cena sucks” chant started.

John Cena vs. Curtis Axel
The bell rings. Axel is screaming about Axelmania and gets the fan chant . Cena stares at Axel from the corner. Cena runs over Axel with a clothesline and fans chants started "boo". Axel clump up as Cena looks at him. Fans chants for Axelmania and “Cena sucks.” Axel points at the WrestleMania board and Cena runs over him again. Cena hammer with an AA and applies the STF in the middle of the ring for the victory.
Winner: John Cena
WWE United States Champion Rusev arrives to the stage with Lana after the match. Lana congratulates Cena on his victory. Rusev tell like Stephanie told him, the only way to get the match at WrestleMania is for Rusev to change his mind and says his answer is. “yes” and “no” chants starts. Rusev says his decision is… "NO". The Russian flag drops down over the ring and shatter Cena. Rusev’s music hits as Cena looks up at the flag.
