It was a once sided match for the South African's after the first innings. The SA team won the match by 201 runs against the Irish team'
The South African were attacking the Irish bowler from the start of the game. They lost Quinton de Kock at very early stage in the 3rd over. Then the opener Amla & the other play Faf Du Plessies made a very good partner-ship of 247 runs for the second-wicket. They made to a good score but then Faf Du Plessies was dismissed by bowled by Kevin O'Brien in the 39th over of the match & also during the powerplay. Ab De came in and tried to play like earlier but he could make only 24 runs of 9 balls. Rile Russow who came in at 6 & David Miller who came in at 5 both played the game as a 20 20 match and made it possible for the Africans to make the score of 411. This game was SA's second time 400+ in World Cup 2015. In the bowling they were impressive as they were off the mark from the start of the game. Dale Steyn took early wickets but then it was Kyle Abbott who took 4 wickets and collapsed the Irish innings. There were 8 bowlers who bowled during the match and only 4 were crowned with sucess.
The Irish team were sucessful in taking wicket of De Kock early but they were hammered later by other batsmen. They could take only 4 wickets in the 50 overs bowled. Ireland didnt lose any match in the World Cup 2015 & it was their first loss in this tournament. They were bowled in the 45th over for a score of 210. They didnt play well at all in the batting in this match. They lost first 4 wickets in the mandatory powerplay between 1-10 overs. The players who played well in the earlier matches also failed to make an impact on the play today. Kevin O'Brien tried to play well but couldnt play so as he was dismissed on 48. He was given a stand by Andrew Balbirnie who made 58 runs only. Overall the performance from the team for this match was not impressive but they tried well to play against the SA team.
