The 2014 FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala will be the fifth year for FIFA's awards for the top football players and coaches of the year. The awards will be given out in Zürich on 12 January 2015.
In just a few days time, their fates as Ballon d'Or candidates will be determined. And then in 365 days, the world will be looking at another three candidates, possibly two of the same trio vying for that same award.
Out of the 23 nominees for the award, only 3 have been selected for the award.
They are:-
1) CRISTIANO RONALDO (PORTUGAL)
Ronaldo is looking to claim the prestigious prize for a third time and repeat the triumph of 2013. Ronaldo is one of the best players of 2014 having his side Real Madrid win 4 Titles. Having won the Ballon D'or the last year, Ronaldo will be aiming for another one, the third for him

2) LIONEL MESSI (ARGENTINA)
Lionel Messi deserves to win the Ballon d'Or this time. Why? Because 2014, a special year for football, can be divided into two parts: everything that happened in the World Cup and everything that took place outside of it at club level. The 5th Ballon D'or may come his way.

3) MANUEL NEUER (GERMANY)
Just because of him Germany won the World Cup 2014. His Role for Germany is considered the main. After Being selected in the 3-man list, he will also be aiming for his Maiden Ballon D'or.
