Scotland vs Germany - Preview

Date : 7th September
Time : 7:45 PM GMT
Venue : Hampden Park, Glasgow

Group D leaders Germany will travel to Scotland on Monday in what seems to be a difficult fixture as they continue to try and maintain their position at the top of their group table. They will have to put up a good performance as they look to defeat Scotland. They have had quite a few problems after the exit of Phillip Lahm following the world cup but after a brief break they seemed to get back on track with a victory over Poland on Friday.

Scotland will be desperate to get back on track in order to qualify next year. They might face problems due to Germany's good form but one will expect Scotland to perform well.

Form

Scotland :  WWWDL
Germany : DWLWW

Key Players

Scotland will be expecting goalkeeper David Marshall to step up having made some very good saves through this tournament.

Similarly defensive midfielder Scott Brown will be expected to perform well as he is the only legitimate DM in his side.

Mario Gotze is another man to watch out for from the other side with his impressive skills and talent, he also played very well on Friday scoring a brace against Poland. Germany will be expecting him to be the man that will make a difference tonight.

Another German that goes by the name of Toni Kroos known for controlling and holding the midfield will be a player that Loew will be expecting to create chances for and make the most of his talent and abilities.

Team News

The German squad is fit and in full-health hence Loew will be able to choose from a fully functional team. He might stick to the same side that played on Friday against Poland.

Scotland has no Injury woes as well and Scotland boss Gordon Strachan, despite the result, will most likely play the same side that lost to Georgia.
