Defending champions Chelsea travel to Merseyside this Saturday as they look to revive themselves from the dissapointing 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their last fixture.
Chelsea have gotten off to a rather lacklustre start to their season having drawn their first game with Swansea followed by a humilitaing 3-0 defeat to city after which they defeated West Brom 3-2 before losing to Crystal Palace 2-1. Chelsea Boss Jose Mourinho has faced criticism due to the disappointing results, poor performances and his inability to handle the situation.
Likewise, Everton haven't enjoyed a good start to the season. They have been able to claim only five points from their first four fixtures having drawn with Watford and Tottenham, defeating Southampton and losing to City. They have retained defender John Stones who was heavily linked with Chelsea during the summer transfer window and in addition to that also signed a few players towards the end of the window who might be able to help in improving the team's performance.
