The giants of London come face to face on Saturday to battle for supremacy. The clash between these two teams is always intriguing and hardly has such a fixture failed to entertain people. The two sides will meet at Chelsea's home ground Stamford Bridge and rekindle their fierce rivalry.
Chelsea seem to back to winning ways after their thumping 4-0 victory over M.Tel Aviv in the champions league and hence they will go into this game determined to jump up towards the top of the table from their current position which happens to be fourth from the bottom.
Arsenal have made a better start to the season than Chelsea and they currently sit at the fourth position in the table. They will be desperate to bounce back from their 2-1 Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb and maintain consistency which has been the biggest issue that the gunners have been facing for quite a few years now. Manager Arsene Wenger has been under scrutiny as Arsenal failed to sign a single outfield player this summer but Wenger believes that he can get the goals with the strikers that he already has.
Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have developed a bitter rivalry over the past few years and most of the times it has been the Portugese who has emerged victorious over the Frenchman. The Chelsea boss has also publicly condemned Wenger calling him a "specialist in failure" however, the last time that the two sides met, Wenger's men were successful in defeating Chelsea 1-0 to win the community shield. The two managers clashed on the touchline last season and also failed to shake hands at end of the community shield.
When asked about the incident at a press conference, Wenger Replied "I don't want to talk about that. I have nothing more to say about this situation."
Willian and Pedro will be unavailable for the clash with Arsenal. Willian was substituted against M.Tel Aviv after picking up a questionable injury and Pedro was absent for the game through injury. It will be either Ramires or Loic Remy who will be replacing the two injured men on the right flank.
The gunners have no new injury concerns. Petr Cech is set to be back in goal against his ex-club and Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin are expected to be back after being rested and will be available for selection. Defender Per Mertesacker will be in contention to start after recovering from bad health.
