After winning the only T20 Engpand would be looking to dominate the ODI as well. Both teams would be looking to win the first match.
1st Innings.
Auatralia came out to bat. With many youngsters after a few retirements the World Chapions were looking to start well with the bat. They got many good partnerships and also many of them contributed but no one went on to make a big century. The scored 305 runs which is difficult to score after the new rules.

England bowled well but coild not get many wicket at a go. They could not maintain lots of pressure.

2nd Innings.
With a huge target to chase England needed a good partnership. They did get one but they did not continue. They did have more small partnership but they could not get them home. The batsmen played well. They lost wickets in a heap. They lost the match by 59 runs.
The pick of their batsmen was Jason Roy who scored 67(64) balls with 11 boundaries to his name.
Australian bowlers bowled well. All of them contributed to the wickets. They got their team to the win.
