Where will Pedro fit at Chelsea ?

Ahead of Sunday’s Clash against Blue side of City, Portugal born manager Jose Mourinho insisted that The Stamford Bridge side has earned “moral rights” to spend for strengthen their squad this summer. Just Couple of minutes after Final Whistle on Sunday The Blues confirmed the arrival of Baba Rahman for £17.5 million from Augsburg and now Chelsea are Capturing the Transfer Headlines again after they sealed the deal of Pedro from Barcelona.

Pedro won’t excite the fans as enough as arrival of Fabrigas,Diego Costa and Cuadrado last season, but Pedro can prove essential for Chelsea. As other Clubs preferred bringing in some Pacey and tricky elites into the squad, same did Mourinho lately as Pedro can give the Chelsea side a new look.

No Club used players as few as Chelsea did last season(20),seven of the Blue stars started more than 30 League Matches. But Mourinho is looking for some reliable player in his squad and the experience Pedro gained at Nou Camp in last two years would help him prove key contributor in Jose’s side.

Belgium International Hazard already an undisputed star in Chelsea’s Attacking unit,Pedro’s spot is more likely to be on the right flank in place of Willian.Willian is highly regarded by Mou for his Defensive abilities and stamina  rate, but the tally of Eight goals in two seasons would leave him on the dark side for this spot as in comparison with Pedro – Who in average scored one goal every three matches he played wide.

Mourinho demands more defensive play from his wingers than any other Manager,Willian is certainly gifted on this approach as he has the athleticism to shield Ivanovic, who is increasing his performance at diminishing rate every match he plays.

Pedro is one of the world’s best young talents at flanks and you can expect some ‘on time’ runs with the ability of Fabrigas and Oscar to pass the ball at intelligence. If Cesc Fabrigas can overcome his poor start this season and rediscover the creativity that made him take 18 PL assists to his name last term, then both former Barcelona men could prove a nightmare to defenders.

Jose would be expecting the new recruit to be something more than just a bench-warming rival to Willian and Cuadrado on the right side.Hazard cannot be expected to repeat the feat of starting all 38 Premier League matches and if the Blues and to have a good title challenge at the table top, so Pedro can help to the pitch here too.

‘Crisis’ is the word many have entitled to The Stamford Bridge side after loss to City and Arrival of Pedro doesn’t changes all the problems on and off the pitch but can certainly prove as a reminder that the Premier League champions will not see the Golden Tag move away without a fight.
