The 16th match of the Indian Cricket Festive is between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. This match was at Bangalore, India which started at 8 pm. Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kholi won the toss and elected to bat bowl. But the clash between Mumbai and Bangalore resulted in the Mumbai winning their first match of this season by 18 runs.

Simmons and Parthiv Patel started the Mumbai innings and I Abdulla opened the bowling attack. The first wicket of Parthiv Patel had been fallen earlier. Middle order batsmen Rohit Sharma and Lendl Simmons knocks powered the Mumbai Indians innings to give a massive total. Simmons awesome batting had smashes the home team bowling attack to shreds. He scored 59 of 44 balls. Rohit Sharma also gave a good company to Simmons by scoring 42 of just 15 balls. And at end of innings Mumbai Indians gave the good target to the home team of 210. In the bowling Chahal and Wiese had done a good job. Chahal took 2 wickets in 4 overs by giving only 28 runs but the main star in bowling attack was Wiese by putting his name in wicket list 4 times.

Royal Challengers Banglore tried their best to chase out the grand achievable total at Chinnaswamy Stadium.Chris Gayle failed to make his approach after been pressured of with cheap ten runs in twenty-four balls, thats totally rare approach by Chris.Middle order of the Banglore's franchise failed apparently after departure of Virat Kholi and DK followed by Rossouw.ABD tried hard to get the Ball on its way to the target with a brilliant 11 Balls-41 Runs.David Weise helped the Challengers to chase down the target, but target was too high to be achived.Harbhajan Singh bowled well on the other side he apparently got the wickets for the Men In Blues when ever they felt the pressure piling up.Bhajji got Chris Gayle,Bisla and Rossouw back to the Camp.Mumbai lacked fielding effort defending the game, that will certainly be a point for Ricky to be noted.

QUOTE NOTES :

Rohit:''I think the way we batted in the first few overs was good. We were positive throughout. Good to see the batsmen applying themselves and doing well. The bowlers also bowled well on a difficult Bangalore wicket. Losing 4 out of 4 was tough to digest. The most important thing about this team is, we never thought we lost 4. Both Caribbean players (Gayle and Pollard) know each other really well, it was just some fun around (when asked what he thought about the Pollard-Gayle banter). Malinga bowled pretty well, he wanted to prove a point against this strong line-up. Not only Malinga, even Bhajji (Harbhajan) and McClenaghan bowled well.''

Kohli:''It was pretty entertaining because of how AB and Wiese played. If it wasn't for those two guys it wouldn't have been that interesting. We should have had a better approach to that target. We should have played like AB and Wiese did, but some guys got out in an unlucky fashion. There are plenty of things we need to look at. We always bank on the opening partnership to chase down targets. We need discipline in the bowling attack. Starc comes back and hopefully, he gets going. We need to win the next game at home before hitting the road.''

Man Of The Match : Harbhajan Singh
