Rajasthan Royals VS Chennai Super Kings : Match Report

The big match has come to an end and RR have won it comprehensively. They have won 5 out of their 5 matches and have their winning streak unbroken. CSK would not be happy with their performance as their winning streak has been broken. It was a tough side to defeat but RR have shown the teams in the IPL that they are the team to beat.

1st Innings :
CSK won the toss and elected to bat first. They did start well. But then lost Brendon McCullum but Smith carried on. Raina and Faf also got out early. But Bravo and Smith did do well. At the end it was Bravo who finished well at the end to take the team score to 156 runs.
The pick of their batsmen was Dwayne Bravo who scored 62*(38) balls with 8 boundaries and 1 six to his name.

RR bowled superbly. To restrict a batting powerhouse like CSK to just 156 runs means a lot. They have bowled superbly and given the CSK batsmen a tough time at the middle. They got the important wickets at proper intervals. Their fielding was also superb.

The pick of their bowlers was Chris Morris with the bowling figures of 4-0-19-1.

2nd Innings :
RR did not have a big total on front of them. They had to chase down 157 runs. It looked an easy score but to chase against a bowling side like CSK is very very difficult. But Watson and Rahane did superbly and gave their team a superb opening stand. They both had an opening stand over a 100 runs and won the game comprehensively for their team.

The pick of their batsmen was Ajinkya Rahane as he scored 76*(55) with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes to his name.
CSK did not bowl that well. They were a bit way weird in the front and did not take wickets at the beginning. They did not field that well as well.
The pick of their bowler was Ravindra Jadeja with bowling figures of 4-0-29-1.

Man of the Match:- Ajinkya Rahane.
