It was a quite intresting match for the opening clash between MI and KKR. The match ended with KKR winning by 7 wickets and achieving their points on the board right from the mark.
The MI started off well with Rohit Sharma & Finch but in order to score big shots Finch went out early followed by Ambati Rayudu & Aditya Tare. But then it was captain Rohit who took the game were carefully and calmly played along with Corey Anderson. They played extremely well and kept a score of 168 on the board. In the bowling they were successful in taking out Robbie early but then the captain played extremely well. It was not a good start from the MI due to poor bowling attack.
The KKR team played extremely well in the opening match. They didn't fail in any move to defend the title. They started off well in the bowling by taking early wickets of Finch, Rayudu & Tare. All the bowlers did a very well job by taking wickets early. But then it was Gautam Gambhir the captain who played a very good 50. Robin Uthappa tried to play a big shot but was dismissed early. Later it was Gambhir & Pandey who played a good game. Then later they lost their wickets later it was Suryakumar Yadav who played big shots and made a easy victory for the KKR
Morne Morkel was the man of the match for his 4-0-18-2
