Bhaji says about Kieron Pollard sticks plaster on mouth


After being said told to be quite by umpires to Pollard, Defending Kieron Pollard plastering his mouth by tape. Harbhajan Singh the off spiner and the Mumbai Indian's senior said extraordinary gesture was unique but not in bad relish.

"The umpire told him to stay quiet, so he wanted to make sure to put the tape on his mouth and be quiet, but he is a bit of character. He likes doing things like that. IPL brings the best flavours of the West Indies boys and there was something very different and unique which was in a good taste," Bhaji told reporters here.

Pollard had been given warning by one of the on-field umpires to stay away from any teasing after he was seemed by umpire to distract the RCB opener Chris Gayle's rhythm by slinging some words at him. Nevertheless, the big guy Kieron Pollard answered blissfully to Umpire by plastering his mouth by tape which entertained the spectators, also the Chris Gayle and the Mumbai Indians crew members including Ricky Ponting and Anil Kumble who were sitting in the dugout.

Questioned about his unique on-field managenent, Pollard said it was just for fun.
