Australian legend Richie Benaud Passes Away


The former Australian captain and legend passed away in Sydney in a hospital fighting a deathly disease called skin cancer. He passed away at the age of 84 years.
Benaud was one of the best players of his time and was the first person to make 2000 runs and also take 200 wickets in Test. He was a leg spinner and Australian never lost a Test series under his captaincy.
He played 63 test matches and also played a very good role in formation of  he World Series Cricket in 1970's.
He also became the most admired cricketer and also a commentator in the world.
He started his career in 1952. He not only started as a leg spinner in the Test cricket but also as a well established middle order batsman. He was also a great captain and Australia never lost a Test series under his captaincy. He retired in 1964 from cricket. He then started commentary and became an icon for commentary.
He also had given a speech for the unnatural death of Philip Hughes who died while playing a match.
