Tottenham Hotspurs vs Leicester City- Preview

Tottenham Hotspurs will be  atrocious to bounce back from their frustrating defeat to Manchester United. Leicester's trip to White Hart Lane as they prepare to take on Tottenham on Saturday.

Roberto Soldado is Spur's only doubt after he missed last weekend's loss at United with knee injury. And Harry Kane is set to lead the line facing his former club two days after securing his first England call up. Soladado's absence means Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to be named among the substitutes and Pochettino will have his full array of dangers to throw at Leicester.

Lawro's predict that " This might be a scruffy game of football because Leicester's situation at the bottom of the table means they need a win, and they probably won't be too bothered about playing pretty football to try to get it."

Leicester have no new injury worries as they continue their battle for survival at Tottenham. Midfielder Dean Hammond persist his recovery from a calf injury and the only long term absentee is Zoumana Bakayoga. While Anthony Knockaert  again misses out because of family issues.

On 24 January, Spur's FA Cup  way out of a place to Leicester is their only defeat in the last 15 league and cup games at White Hart Lane. Team failed to keep clean sheet in last nine matches in all competition. More than any other team, this team has renewed 16 points from losing position in the Premier league.

After defeating Manchester United on 21 September, Leicester won 23 league games. Leicester failed to score in first half in the last 7 league. Esteban Cambiasso has scored three goals from just four shots on target for Leicester in Premier League.

Pearson said “We played them in the FA Cup and managed to come away with a win. They made a few changes on that day. I think the complexion of the game [on Saturday] may be a bit different. We also played them on Boxing Day and we were a little unfortunate to lose that game. It was probably one of our best performances of the season. We know that we’re capable of competing against them but we also have a very healthy respect for the fact that they have very talented players. They’re a good possession side and certainly at home they can cause teams problems, but I would also like to think that we would be deemed to be respectable opposition. I don’t think they’ll be taking us too lightly, but having said that, we know that we have to be near our best. To make sure that we remain in touch and that our destiny needs to stay in our own hands. We’ve got 10 games left, six of them at home. Our home form hasn’t been what we would like, but if we get into the latter stages with four out of the last six games at home and we’re in contact then it’s something that we can be relatively positive about. The longer we go on in these situations, we know we’ve got to make some sort of an impact. Last week’s game was disappointing in terms of the result but we go again because we’ve got 10 games to play. There is still a belief within our own camp that we can do something about it. That’s something that is important.”
