I wanted to live these nights in the Calderon again," the 30-year-old told Teledeporte.

Team-mate Antoine Griezmann was also quick to credit their German opponents but reserved a special word for substitute goalkeeper Jan Oblak. The Slovenian came off the bench to replace the injured Miguel Moya before saving Calhanoglu's penalty during the shootout.

"It was a complicated game,Leverkusen are great opponents and, with the support of the fans, we gave everything.Oblak is a great goalkeeper and we knew that whenever he was going to play he would do well. We need him."-Said the Frenchman.
