Shikhar Dhawan the left-hand Indian batsman has been selected for the World Cup squad. He is a guy who is know to have a lucky comeback to the Indian team. He dis not start off his career at a great note. But lately due to his great form in the Ranji Trophy for Delhi. He was then picked up for the Indian team. He believes that lady luck has turned his career. He got married and has a daughter and believes that lady luck has paved his career. Then after being picked up for the team he has improved alot.
The match against the South Africa today he showed his class by hitting the ball in middle of the bat everytime he hit it. Eventhough Rohit Sharma got out early but he did not loose his confidence and not let the pressure affect him. He build a great partnership with Virat and got his superb form back. He got his a bit of form back against Pakistan. He got off to a watchable start and hit a few boundaries. He palyed a crucial role for India after the dismissal of Rohit Sharma and he took the responsibility well. He went step by step and attacked the ball only when it was there to hit. He played on the merit of the ball. He then slowly went on to score a much need century for the team and mainly for his own form. He was accompanied by Rahane and gave good compliment to Dhawan. He then increased his rate of scoring as soon as he made the century. He also took on the fastest bowler in world cricket Dale Steyn for a six over long on and also Morne Morkel also for a six. He played a great role in anchoring India's innings and other played around him. The other players did well and complimented him well.
Dhawan also played a knock of the match to prove his talent and slam the critics of him being not dropped from the team. The Indian captain Dhoni should also be complimented of showing faith and backing up the outform Dhawan. Dhawan proved his captain right. He outnumbered the South African bowlers and smashed them to all the parts of the ground. He hit 16 boundaries and 2 sixes in the great knock of 137(146). If the ton wouldn't have come then India might have lost the match. Dhawan has the ability of rising on big occasions and scoring big tons against the toughest rivals as well. Lets pray he keeps his form going this way and keep giving such starts to India.
