Rohit Gurunath Sharma is the part of the World Cup squad of the Indian cricket team. He has been a guy who came into the international side at a young age but was dropped from the side due to his bad run in batting. He was a part of the inaugral T20 World Cup which India had won and played a crucial knock against the South Africans(Proteas).
He last played in the Commonwealth bank series 2008 in Australia before being picked up in the Indian side again due to his good run in the Ranji Trophy. He then came back stronglt by scoring a century and strenghtened his spot in the team. He then scored a match winning 142 against Australia in the ODI. He then followed it by a double century at Bengaluru 209 and was 10 runs short of Shewag's world record. He then performed well at the ICC Champions Trophy.
He also hit another double century against Sri Lanka and broke all records. He now holds the world record of 2 double centuries, max no. of sixes(16) in a single ODI innings previously held by Australian All-rounder Shane Watson. He is now an important aspect of the Indian batting Top order and one he gets his eye in he can smash the bowler all round the park.Rohit Sharma can take a toll on the fast bowlers as well as the spinners. He has the best shots in his book. He can pull the short ball for big sixes. He can play the cover drive perfectly. He has all the shots in the book a batsman should have. It is difficult to stop him once he gets going and can become a nightmare for the best bowlers of the tornament. His batting is an aspect to look forward to in the match against South Africa. He has the ability to even smash fast bowler like Steyn and Morkel. He is very dangerous against the spinners. If the spinner will give a hitable ball he will smash it out of the ground and he can play the slog sweeg as well. He is the best batsman a team needs at the top of the order. He can bowl a few right-arm off breaks as well. No one would believe that he has a hatrick to his name in the IPL for the Deccan Chargers ubder the Captaincy of the Australian Legend Adam Gilcrist. He is the man for India. If India has to do well then Rohit needs to play the best cricket of his life. Therefore,Rohit is called the Hitman Of India and will play an important part in the World Cup.
