Pool A Preview


The 2015 World Cup will be the 11th Crickept World Cup. This is hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015.
Pool A consist of England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Scotland.


England:- This team have Eoin Morgan as their Captain. This team is always considered as the strongest opponent. They have steady batting line up which can be quite effective, while the bowling is England's undoubted strength. They have Ian Bell and Joe Root as the consistent batsmen and James Anderson and Stuart Broad as the two high quality bowlers. England will be dependent on how their batting goes because they have worst strike rate.
Key Player:- James Anderson


Australia:- This team have Micheal Clarke as their Captain. Australian have very good batting line up which is led by Aaron Finch, Steven Smith, David Warner and Glenn Maxwell. They also have a good bowling attack which is led by Mitchell Johnson, as well as they have good peace of fielding. So the chances of wining World Cup becomes doubles up with the current form of team. They have the problems of injuries and fitness over Michael Clarke and James Faulkner.
Key player:- Steven Smith


Sri Lanka:- The Finalist in 2011 with plenty of experience. They have Angelo Mathews as their Captain. This team have a very good bowling attack currently in the World Cup. They have very good line up in batting as well as in bowling. Batting line up is led by the trio of Tillakratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakara and Mahela Jayawardene.  Bowling is heavily dependent on Lasith Malinga. While spinners Rangana Herath and Sachitra Sennayake can play a big part in World Cup. They have worst strike rate among the 8 main teams.
Key player:- Lasith Malinga

Bangladesh:- They have Mashrafe Mortaza named as the Captain. Batting is the main weakness of the teams. They have good bowling attack with Shakib-Al- Hasan and two other left arm spinners.They have Taijul who has made a very good perfomance till now. Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahum, Mortaza along with Shakib-Al-Hasan form the core of team with lots of experience.
Key player:- Shakib Al Hasan

New Zealand:-  They have Brendon Mccullum as their Captain. They have strongest batting line up with the likes of Brendon Mccullum,  Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Grant Elliot. While most teams tend to have just one strong suit- either bowling or batting- New Zealand equal advantage thanks to their fearsome pace attacks of Kyle Mills, Trent Boult,
Tim Soutee, and Adam Milne. And some players of the team enjoys fielding comprising of Guptil, Boult and Mccullum. Team could have done with a more potent spin attack.
Key player:- Kane Williamson.


Afganistan:- They have Mohammad Nabi as their Captain. They are blessed with bowling attacks. 
Shapoor Zadran and Dawlat Zadran leads the bowling attack. Their batting has been an area of major worry. Mohammad Nabi, Asghar Stanikzai and Nawroz Mangal leads batting attack.  Their experience in High-stage events are very less.
Key player:- Hamid Hassan.


Scotland:- They have Preston Mommsen as their Captain.They are less experienced side considering numbers as they have not made a marks into the books of history. The Scotland national team depends on Machan, Mommsen, Kyle Coetzer and Mcleod whose performance will decide where the fortune lays
