10th match of ICC's main event 2015 was against Pakistan and West Indies of Pool B. This match was at Hagley Oval, Christchurch at 3:30 IST.
Pakistan squad:- Playing XI:- Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Haris Sohail, Misbah-ul-Haq, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Mohammad Irfan.
West Indies squad:- Playing XI:- Dwayne Smith, Chris Gayle, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin, Lendl Simmons, Darren Sammy, Andre Russell, Jason Holder, Jerome Taylor, Sulieman Benn.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first. West Indies won the match by 150 runs. Indies openers performances was not good but Darren Bravo, Denesh Ramdin, Lendl Simmions in middle order tried their best to give the best total to the opponent team. In the few overs, Andre Russell played an smashful innings scoring 42 of just 13 balls. Simmons and Russell made 79 runs in the last 5 overs and gave a target of 311 runs and others players also contributed to give a good total.
Pakistan fielders has not done their work well, as they dropped catches and easy give away runs. Pakistan doesn't had an good start with their bat by their openers. The Indies bowler took 4 wickets by giving only 1 run. Jerome Taylor clutched 2 wicket in the 1st over and then dispatched Harris Sohail in the 2nd over. The middle order batsmen Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal had played an good inning by scoring 50 in 66 balls and 59 runs in 71 balls respectively. But after the fall of their wickets they couldn't control the existing situation and the wickets were keep on falling down. West Indies player Russell has also done his job well by putting his name in wicket list 3 times. The whole squad was aside by Indies bowlers at a score of 160 runs in 39 overs. Indies bowler has done the wonderful job leading their side to a awesome victory.
