The Ireland team played very well in the bowling as well as the batting department. They did some mistakes in the match by giving some extra runs. But lastly they won. They tried to stop giving runs but the UAE team score 278 in the 50 overs of the 1st innings. Ireland managed to chase the score of 279 runs very easily. But in this chase they lost 8 wickets. William Poterfield gave a good start by scoring 37 runs, but he was disappointed by dismissal of Paul Stirling who was out on 3 runs. Then Ed Joyce & Niel O'Brien who gave good runs. After they were dismissed it was Gary Wilson & Kevin O'Brien who won them a victory. Wilson scored 80 & Kevin O'Brien score 50 of just 25 balls with a strike rate of 200. He brought the game ahead along with Gary Wilson. In the bowling Paul Stirling took the early two wickets of Karate & Berenger. There were several other bowlers in the team who took 2-2 wickets. Overall a very good performance.
The UAE team made a good performance not to that extent but comparitively good. They made 278 runs to set a target for the Irish team. But they failed to defend that target. They took 8 wickets of the Irish side. Their best performance was from Shaiman Anwar in the batting side & Amjad Javed in the bowling side. They did good in the batting with Shaiman Anwar scoring 106. This inning helped the UAE team to do well. They did well to defend the total but then they were defeated by the Irish team.
