The World Cup-winning defender insists he is not looking to force a move away from Roberto Di Matteo's side but is attracted to English football.
He told reporters: "If I am to leave Schalke one day, I do not want to move clubs within the Bundesliga.Schalke is too close to my heart to do so. But a move abroad at a certain time would be worth an experience. England would be my goal.Here there are many people of experience and I'm learning a lot from them,I have played a lot of games and I want to continue to do what I'm doing."
