Australia who already won the previous match against England again won an amazing game against India too. Mitchell Starc was the game turner for the match today for taking 6 wickets in 10 overs by conceding only 43 runs. He was brilliant in the bowling attack. While in the batting Aaron Finch was just brilliant. He missed his century by 4 runs but his brilliant knock of 96(127) was a key success to this win . He was accompanied by Steve Smith & Shane Watson who left with some runs to complete their 50s. They gave a good contribution in this game .Warner, Maxi & Bailey managed to score around 20s. Once again Faulkner was the man who finished the match twice. Faulkner was impressive with the ball as well as he took a crucial and vital wicket of Virat Kohli at right time. Gurinder Sandhu who was the debutant today played very well by maintaining the economy during the starting of the match. Pat Cummings and Shane Watson were the bowlers which were efficient in the start of the match for maintaing the economy
India who didn't get a good start managed to make a score of 267. Shikhar Dhawan the opener failed to score well and lost his wicket in the first over of the match.Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli who were very good players with bat for India in the test series failed to achieve a big score. The fans of Virat Kohli were sadly disappointed because of the early dismissal. It was because of Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina due to which they managed to set up a target of 268 for the Aussies. Rohit Sharma who is a very dangerous player,slamed a score of 138 by breaking the record of highest score of a player between India & Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
of Ricky Pointing 115. Suresh Raina was another destructing player who gave Rohit Sharma company. He could manage only to score a total of 51. He played a very good innings and making a quite good recovery after India was in difficulty ( 59-3). He played some of the best shots. Raina was oftenly said by all that "after the change in colour of jersey from white to colourful the form also transformed accordingly ! " Raina was very expensive in his bowling of 2 overs in which he conceded 24 runs. MS Dhoni who was building his innings to play with Rohit Sharma also departed soon followed by Axar Patel. Axar Patel went for a duck in the batting but managed to take a crucial wicket of Shane Watson in correct time. Ashwin was a bit expensive with the bowl today but managed to score 14 runs helping Rohit Sharma to get a company. Bhuvi failed with bat as well as the bowl as he went for a golden duck but got a good wicket of Glenn Maxwell. Umesh Yadav was expensive but he managed to take crucial wickets of Aaron Finch & David Warner.
