Newcastle United are still looking for a win that will kick-start their season as they travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Saturday. Given Newcastle's current situation Manuel Pellegrini's men will find this fixture as a golden opportunity to get back to winning ways in the premier league after suffering two consecutive losses at the hands of West Ham and Tottenham. Both the losses were quite upsetting for the side given their immaculate start to the season. Manchester City secured their first champions league win against Monchengladbach on Wednesday night which will give them the confidence to bounce back on Saturday.
Newcastle United will be a little optimistic going into this fixture after they stalemated with Chelsea in their last fixture. Newcastle United are fighting hard to come out of the relegation zone, they are yet to win a game sitting 19th in the table with only three points from seven fixtures. The positives that they can take out of their season so far is that they have played well against tough opponents namely Manchester United and Chelsea and they will be hoping to give Manchester City a tough game, manager Steve McClaren believes Newcastle are beginning to click after their draw with Chelsea last week and has said that Newcastle will have a go at City on Saturday.

What the Managers are saying
Manuel Pellegrini : “Tomorrow we have a tough game against Newcastle. They played very well against Chelsea and here in Manchester against United.
“We are not thinking of the top of the table at this moment – just to have a strong performance. It's important to be at the top in May.
“We know we are going to have eight or nine players defending so we have to create the space.”
“Consistency is now what we are after from that level of performance against Chelsea. That is how we want to play in the first half. Fought all the way. Defended well in the second half.
“We have been inconsistent from the start of the season. Some good, some bad. Seven games in we are getting closer to our style and level of play.”
