Pepsi who has taken a contract of 5 years of sponsoring the IPL in 2012 and paid 396 crores is looking to pull out of the sponsorship.
After the big spot fixing scandal which has got the reputation of the game down. Now IPL has to face another challenge of the sponsors. Pepsi had paid almost the double amount than the pervious sponsors DLF.
But the top BCCI officials think that the reason of spot ffixing is just an excuse because they have hosted two IPL tournaments after the spot fixing scandal. They think that the Pepsi itself is facing some financial problems.
BCCI officials also added that they pay nearly 90-100 crores every year for the sponsorship which is not a small amount.
They are trying their best to convience the sponsors for sponsoring the upcoming season.
