"They had a very strong finish last season," said Wenger. "They scouted very well and the emergence of players like Mahrez and Jamie Vardy make them dangerous.

"They brought in Gokhan Inler and N'Golo Kante and they have done a very good job.

"You look at Leicester, they made 10 changes on Tuesday against West Ham who had just beaten Manchester City away from home.

"To beat West Ham with 10 changes – that shows these clubs have massive squads."

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Mahrez in the January transfer window and the Algerian said he is relishing facing the Gunners.

"I'm very excited," said Mahrez. "Everyone else is as well. Arsenal are a big team and it will be a great game.

"They will have a lot of the ball but I think it's good for us because we're a counter-attacking team."

Arsenal side will have a new look from the side that won at White Hart Land.Expected Premier change would be Petr Cech getting back between the Woodwork as it Will see Ospina visit bench again.In defence, Laurent Koscielny is likely to be reunited with Per Mertesacker after a month apart.

As the table begins to take shape, they will not want to lose any further ground on leaders Manchester City.

The last time Leicester triumphed over the Gunners was way back in 1994 at the old Filbert Street ground.
