Though having a good season at Real Madrid, Louis Van Gaal has allowed the Mexican to leave permanently.

Under Van Gaal Chicharito didn't get starts and matches due to which he left United.

"Bayer made me feel important and loved and coming here was not a hard decision to make. They make me feel wanted."

Chicharito will play in the Champions League with Leverkusen in Group E which includes Barcelona, AS Roma and Bate Borisov.

Hernandez continued,"I want to help and achieve many things. I felt very loved."
