Iran are currently third in Group D behind Oman and Guam but have a game in hand and are easily the highest ranked team in their group.

Not according to Iran skipper Andranik Teymourian: "Every team has a unique personality. No doubt that we are the team at the top of the group and hopefully on Tuesday we can do the job. There is always the unexpected in football. India has a good national team and play well at home.”
Iran Head coach Carlos Queiroz said that they were bracing for a challenge when they come up against Stephen Constantine's side. - "All games are different and difficult. What I expect from my team is the same attitude, fight for the ball, be quick and play good football. Just keep going and don't give up. When the show starts, we want to enjoy the 90 minutes. When the game finishes, the boys should feel proud of themselves," Carlos Queiroz
Indian Dressing room would surely be keen on proving themselves after their loss to Oman and Guam in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
India's goalie Subrata Paul is confident that the players will give their best against Iran.
"We can guarantee our fans that we will play and give our 100 percent on the pitch. We will fight for every inch and for every ball," IANS quoted Paul as saying.
Paul does not feel right to comment on the team's standings as they are fully focused on their game against Iran.With India at 155th Latest fifa rank and The Visitors ranked as 40.
"We are taking one match at a time. Right now, we are focusing on the Iran match. Commenting about the tally of points and our position in the Group isn't possible at the moment.We played well against Oman and we have improved a lot since that performance. Right now we have a very talented crop of players in the national setup. But one needs to patient," added Paul.
