Brad Haddin announces retirement from the international cricket on Wednesday. He was the oldest cricketer among the team in the test format.
He played his last test in the 1st test match of the Ashes 2015. Later from the 2nd Test he was out due to personal reasons. But later he was not possible to return back to his team as the new young keeper Peter Nevill had already made his place. He played his last ODI in the World Cup 2015 finals.
Haddin in his career of 66 test matches scored 3266 runs with an average of 32.99. He was the only successful keeper batsmen in the Australian team after the legendary player Adam Gilchrist. He have registered 262 catches and 8 stumpings in his career.
He is the fifth player in the Australian side which have retired from Test cricket during the Ashes or after the Ashes which includes Michael Clarke, Chris Rogers, Ryan Harris, and Shane Watson. So it will be a new era for the Australian team after losing 5 players from their strong side.
