Arsenal were expected to power up for the English Premier Title from the beginning of the new campaign but certainly would be looking to regain those expectations after early fail.
Arsenal failed to make a single outfield signing in the summer deadline - the only club in the top five leagues in Europe not to do so.
With Jack Wilshere's injury return postponed and Welbeck out with Knee Injury atleast till Christmas leaves Giroud,Walcott and Sanchez as Upfront central choices.
Stoke City would certainly be demoralised after growing injury concerns about Mame Diouf, Marko Arnautovic and Glenn Johnson.
Diouf is still struggling with the leg injury that triggered his early return from international duty with Senegal earlier this week.Arnautovic is cock-a-hoop after helping Austria secure qualification for next summer's European Championships, but returned to the Potteries nursing an ankle injury.Johnson failed to finish the last game against West Brom.
Stoke's star recruit Xherdan Shaqiri hopes to get atleast one point from Emirates after his side lying third from the bottom with only two league points.
“It will be a difficult game for us at Arsenal on Saturday, but it is one that we are looking forward to and one we are positive about,” the 23-year-old told the Stoke City's website
“It has been nice to link back up with my international teammates — it came at a good time as I was able to see my friends and family back in Switzerland.
“I am ready to get back to action with Stoke City now though and hopefully pick up a positive result on Saturday. We want to get at least a point from the game,” he added.
Fixture Facts
The Potters have never earned a point at the Emirates Stadium.
If the Gunners fail to find the net it will be the first time in the club's history that they have not scored in any of their first three home league outings.
