After day 1 that was washed away both teams were looking to dominate day 2-
Day 2
1st Innings:
Virat and Pujara came out to bat. Virat got out after a very different innings from him. Rohit and a nice partnership with Pujara but again got out on the stroke of lunch. After lunch Binny also got out early. India kept loosing wicket continuously. But there as a superb partnership between Mishra and Pujara and Pujara went on to make his century.
The pick of their batsmen was Cheteshwar Pujara who scored a superb ton of 135*(277) balls with 13 boundaries to his name.
Sri Lankan bowlers were superb at the start of the day. The got the important wicket and also did not leak runs. They got wickets after the lunch but could not bowl out India.
The pick of their bowlers was Dhammika Prasad with bowling figures of 23.3-4-83-4.
Again the day was interrupted by rain and stumps for the day 2 was taken.
