The match between New Zealand and South Africa ended with the Africans winning the game by 62 runs. This match ended with the series as well between both these teams. The T20 series resulted in draw and the ODI series went to a win in the hands of the Africans. With this series the ICC ranking of South Africa moved up to 3rd position.
The New Zealand bowlers did a good job but the feilding department of the team was not proper. They dropped some, misfeilded some etc. In the batting as well the team collapsed with a very bad condition. The only played who was well with his bat was Tom Latham who was impressive throughout the series. He scored 3 consecutive fifties. In short due to lack of efforts from each field the match as well as series was lost by Kiwi's.
The South African team started off with well with Hashim Amla & Morne van Wyk. Later the captain ABD played his natural destructive game due to which the bowlers were troubled. Later in the end Farhaan Behardien played a handy innings of 40 of 28 balls. Other players played a good role in their department.
Ab de Villiers was named as the man of the match & Hashim Amla was named as the man of series.
