After a close 1st ODI both team would be looking for a better performance.
Zimbabwe
The look determined in the first match. The team looked strong even in absence of their superb player Brendan Taylor who retired after the World Cup. They played some superb cricket. Bowlers bowled superbly and got India under pressure. Their captain Elton Chigumbura lead the team well. He scored a great century but in vain as they lost by 4 runs.
India
Indians did not play to their potentials. They gave up their wickets easily. Many of them who made a comeback gave up their wickets. They did not perform well. But the stand out player was Ambati Rayudu. He has been the part of the team for long time and MS Dhoni has put a lot of confidence on him. He has shown his worth. He played a needy innings for his team and got the team to a respectable score along with Binny. Indians bowled well to defend the target. They middle order batsmen need to play well.
