After an England dominant 1st Test Australia would be looking to comeback strongly.
Day 1.
Australia came out to at first. They had a good little opening stand but they lost Warner early. But their two consistent performers Rogers and Smith started building a partnership. They kept leaving the good balls and punished the bad balls. Rogers has shown that he is superb at opening as he has always given his team a good start. Smith the man in form and look out for also played superbly. Both hit superb centuries to get their team to a respectable score.
Pick of their batsmen was Chris Rogers who scored 158*(282) balls with 25 boundaries to his name.
England bowlers did not start well. They were taken for runs but made a comeback with an all important wicket of Warner. But they could not maintain the pressure and were not able to get any more wickets on the day.
Pick of their bowlers was Moen Ali with bowling figures of 22-3-82-1.
