There were reports that most of the senior players have asked for rest after the ipl as they have been playing continuously for their country. They have been on national duty constantly and need rest.
BCCI also said that they might send the second opinion squad to Bangladesh as they are wanting to give the senior players rest.
This has given a chances to players like Harbhajan, Zaheer & Sehwag to play their last and the farewell series for their country. They all were dropped from the team after the World Cup due to some bad form.
All of them were out for form consistently and then were dropped and also the main contract. They tried to get back but their out of form continued. Zaheer did make a comeback but then the got injured as he had a hamstring and then his bad form continued. They did not have a chance because the new team India was doing well for the country.
Zaheer, Harbhajan & Sehwag are the legends for the country and have done superb for their country and have made their country proud. It would be bad if they are not given a farewell. But the luck is favouring them as they might have a chance to tour Bangladesh as their farewell series.
They would be looking up to this series and if they get selected they would be looking to show the World that they are top class and end on a high note.
