Martin Odegaard gets his first Madrid call


Real Madrid Head Coach Carlos Ancelotti has revealed that Teenager Martin Ødegaard has a chance to be included in the playing time when Santiago Bernabeu hosts Almeria on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old midfielder joined Madrid from Stromsgodset in the January transfer window, but has so far been playing for Madrid Castilla as he adapts to life in the Spanish capital.

Odegaard has a chance now to finally make his senior debut as he is one of three Castilla players to have been named in tho roster by Carlos.

"Odegaard, Mayoral and [Diego] Llorente are in the squad for the match against Almeria and could play.Two of those three players will make the bench.We have a tough schedule and we have some difficult games coming up. We are confident we can cope with it, though, because apart from those who are injured, everybody is fresh and feeling well.We need the entire team." Ancelotti said at a press conference.

Odegaard has only featured eight times for Castilla just getting past the goal keeper once.
