“Villa were more defensive but I don’t expect City shall play as defensively as Villa did, and then you need a lot of focus and concentration on our defence.A long ball is very difficult to defend. But against City I don’t expect very much long balls – and that is why I have less fear against City, in spite of the loss in the last game [against them].On Sunday we have to wait and see if we can continue our good shape against City. I had more fear for Villa than City because every player shall be motivated and want to win.” – LVG told Reporters.

The Argentine Striker Sergio Aguero says that On Loan from Monaco the Colombian striker Falcao is still "one of the most naturally gifted striker in football", despite failing to make his mark in England.
"[United] have a number of very talented strikers. The one who in his career has been the most predatory is Falcao. He isn't having an easy time this season, but I really admire his commitment and his class and qualities are permanent. He is probably one of the most naturally gifted strikers in football at the moment. They are a team with a lot of great individual players, who can form an incredible unit when they work well together. But this season that has not always been the case. Some matches they don't seem to play at the maximum, with the attacking qualities that they have in the team. But then in other games, they have really shown that those qualities, so they are a bit unpredictable. We know we will have to be at our very best to beat them - there's no doubt about that." Aguero told reporters at a sponsor's event

Manchester City's Defender Gael Clichy insists that they squad is  not going to hide from the criticism as they prepare to face local rivals Manchester Unitedon Sunday.
Clichy told Sky Sports News : "[The criticism] is deserved. We knew it was going to be a difficult game on Monday as Palace are playing well since they changed the manager, but we also know a club like ours, with the objectives we have, have to win games like this. We're not hiding behind anything. We've had some decisions go against us, but we don't want to hide behind this - the results are not there and we need to be better. The timing is perfect, becauseon Sunday we're playing against United, we've lost our second position, and we have a lot to make up to the fans.On Sunday night the city will be all blue or all red, and hopefully we can make it a great day for the fans.We know we have seven games to go - it's very little, but it's enough to make things happen. We've been there before.I'm not talking about winning the title because we are very far from achieving this at the moment, but if we finish strong and if we can stop losing points, who knows what can happen?"
