Its the battle of the big teams and RCB look to start their campaign against the defending champions who have started the defending of their crown with a win against Mumbai Indians. RCB look to start their campaign at a high and would be wanting to win the match.
1st Innings
KKR we asked to bat first by the RCB team. They started off superbly with Gambhir and Robin Uthappa. They gave their team a superb start and straight away took the toll on the bowlers. They hit boundaries and also a few sixes and gave a swift start. But then Robin got out to a bouncer. Later Gambhir completed his 2nd half century of the season and then lost his wicket.
But it wasn't over yet. The middle order did not perform but Andre Russell came and play a gem of
an innings. They scored quick fire 42(17) balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes.
The pick othe batsman was their captain Gautam Gambhir who scored 58(46) balls with 7 boundaries and 1 six to his name.
RCB bowlers did not begin well. They leaked a lot of runs at the start and their fielding wasn't at the best. Even Ab de Villiers dropped a catch and also did misfield. But they came back strongly in the middle overs and took some quick wickets and got the KKR team under pressure but they were again taken for runs at the death.

2nd Innings:
RCB did a nice start but later got out to a bouncer. Gayle did open up and started hitting big shots. He kept loosing partners at the other end. But had a good partnership with Ab de Villiers. He played a superb innings. But he also got out. Sammy also got out very early and Gayle was left alone to battle out. He started his big hitting and gave the bowlers a tough time.
He hit many big sixes and got his team to almost the victory line. He unlucky could not get his century as he got out but they did win the match in the end. The pick of their batsman was Chris Gayle who scored 96(56) balls with 7 boundaries and sixes to his name.
KKR did start well with the ball. They got a few wickets at the start. In the middle the got Ab de Villiers out but they leaked a lot of runs at the death. They also dropped the big wicket of Gayle and he took the game away. They did not field well and cost them the game.
