Martin Guptill Achived his Patience

Martin Guptill the right hand New Zealand batsman and opener did something exceptional against West Indies interested 4th quarter final.
The opener had hit a well made century in the last group stage match and now with that confidence he was batting against the West Indies.
He was dropped on 4 runs by Marlon Samuels but after that he just gave the West Indian bowlers a bad time. He made a well built century but for him it wasn't still over. He went on to make a a superb double century. He exploded after his century. He just connected the ball so sweetly that it just went like a bullet. He went on to break his individual record of his own score and also broke the World Cup record of Chris Gayle of having the highest individual score in a World Cup. He scored 237 runs in good time. His score of 237 is the second highest individual score following the 264 of Rohit Sharma. Guptill also hit the biggest six of the World Cup which had a distance of 110m. He was the second batsman after the Legendary Craig Maccmillan who was the only person to hit such a big six and on the roof of that stadium.
Martin Guptill has struggled another for his place in the team. Many wouldn't have been knowing that he had met with an accident at the age of 13 where he had lost his three toes on the left foot. He has been playing cricket like a real champion. It isn't easy to play cricket like this. He was visited my the New Zealand legend Stephen Fleming in the hospital where his treatment for the accident was going on and that might have been a great boost for him at that time. He has a great future ahead. Though he might be in the shadow as his opening partner is very very good at giving big starts to his team. But he has shown that he has the ability to step up when his teams needs him the most.
