The Aussies were amazing in the World Cup series & tournaments. The Aussies have won this 5th World Cup till now.
In 1987 they won the World Cup in the captaincy of the great player Allan Border. They won that first world cup by the 7 runs.
In 1999 the Australian team won their second World Cup under the captaincy of Steve Waugh by 8 wickets against Pakistan. It was the second title for the Aussies.
In 2003 the World Cup also went into the hands of the Australian captain Ricky Ponting. They won their finals against India by 125 runs
In 2007 they again won the World Cup 4th time and that also consecutively. It was again Ricky Ponting under whom the Aussies won against Srilanka by 66 runs.
In 2015 it was finally the fifth time for the Aussies to lift the World Cup. This World Cup was won by Michael Clarke against the Black caps by 7 wickets.
So basically the Australian team make it every way possible to achieve the World Cup. They achieved first in 1987 then consecutively in 1999, 2003, 2007 and lastly in 2015. In all the World Cup tournament they make it a thing to reach the semi's or the quarters in every edition of World Cup. They have a exceptional teams in every tournament
