TORRES PRAISES HEAD COACH


Fernando Torres hails the head Coach Diego Simeone as he praised the presence of Argentine that gained the importance of Atleti back into the football world.

Succsive years of Underachievement,Atletico have re-estlabished as the elite force into the world football after the Argentine returned to the Vicente Calderon as the head coach in December 2011.

After six months on duty he lifted the Europa League trophy,Simone subsequently masterminded the Triumph of COPA DEL REY in 2013 before stunning the World of

Football by beating both the top clubs of Europe and Spanish Giants- FC Barcelona and Real Madrid for the league's title.

Torres,when a teenage lad,spent his time at the pitch of Vicente Calderon before he left for England in search of trophies as he is on no doubt that Diego Simone who led Atletico a breath nearer to the Champions League last season.

"When I left,the people asked me 'Where did you play,at [Real]Madrid or Atleti ?'It was not clear.Now everyone knows who Atleti are.Simone has been the key in this sense."Torres told to AS.

The Striker then went on to suggest that he cut short his stay with Previous club AC Milan because the Serie A side reneged from the promise made before the start of the spell at Milan.

"I went to Italy with an expectation and with an idea,which later, was not met," Torres added.

"I went to Italy to play,to become an important player,at no point did I feel like it.I was in and out of the team,I played one day,yes,and on another no."

Torres has scored three times since returning to Atleti,his goal coming against Real Madrid and Barcelona as will be aiming to break into the score sheets in La Liga.
