ICC World Cup 2015 is being hosted by Australia and New Zealand with the world's best 14 teams doing a fight over 44 days. Its will an great event on and off the field.
In ICC World Cup 2015 the 1st match is going to start between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. This match will be played on the Hagley Oval, South Hagley Park, Christchurch City. Hagley Oval is being good for good pace.
These match will be an exciting one as it will be the first match of World Cup 2015.
New Zealand are playing at their home soil. Their's run up to the World Cup has been highly impressive, one of the best among all contenders. They have strong batting line up with the likes of Brendon Mccullum, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Grant Elliot at the top orders. New Zealand enjoys equal advantage of batting and bowling thanks to the pace attacks of Kyle Mills, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Adam Milne. And then there is the small matter of players enjoying a fielding unit comprising of athlethes such as Martin Guptil, Williamson, Boult and Mccullum.
And at the other side Sri Lankan team has the trio of Kumar Sangakara, Mahela Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan. This players has lot of experience. This team have a very good bowling attack. They have bowling department under Lasith Malinga Angelo Mathews, Jevan Mendis Nuwan Kulusekera & co. This bowlers who have the best economy rate which can make thier chances in World Cup. This team has poor batting line up for the squad. They have worst batting line up among 8 main teams and also have worst strike rate also among 8 main teams.
It seems that Sri Lankan tactics is not working in the New Zealand condition. Srilankan team have not been impressive in the Australian & New Zealand pitches so it will be a tough time for them to play well in this pitches. They are likely to fluctuate as when the climate changes.
