Southee on his 7-wickets-haul

Kiwi seamer Tim Southee conveys that it may take some period for sinking in the degree of Black Caps crushing English Cricket Army by 8 wickets in the biggest ICC's event of the year.
The Kiwis commanded the innings  in the Wellington Regional Stadium as they blow out the English cricket players for just as sum of 123 in 33.2 overs. Southee dominated the bowling department form the front, bowling his best ODI figures as he sent back 7 to the pavilion giving just 33 runs.
The target was short but New Zealand scampered to the target trying to reach as soon as possible where Skipper Brendan McCullum made the fans stand on their feet scoring 77 of 25 cheap balls.

"A packed house was pretty special to come out in front of. We've been bowling well as a group for a long time and today was one of those moments when it all went well for us. We haven't swung the ball like that in a one-day game for a while and for the old ball to swing like that was the difference. Our bowling coach, Shane Bond, does a lot of work behind the scenes, though, and puts confidence into us.It's a blur at the moment but in time, this will be something we all look back on and realize how amazing this occasion was. Someone did mention that. It just goes to show that it was another great team performance that we have shown," Southee said to skysports
