Sunderland new recruit Jermain Defoe admits that he is feeling sharper as he is back to his full fitness and is confident that he will soon have his goal scoring form.The 32-years-old has scored his second Black Cat goal in three premier league starts.
The former Tottenham Striker had wasted certain time to settle in his new club after joining Major Premier League side FC Toronto and Manager Poyet believes that he can regain his England Career after finding his Goal-Scoring form.
However,Defoe insists that he is happy to play back in the top tier in full fitness.He told Skysports that,"I just want to help the team,by scoring as many goals as I can and just make sure my moments is good.I feel sharp at the minute and managed to get a goal today,so hopefully it will continue."
"I had a mini-pre season and worked really hard to get myself ready in the case anything happened and obviously i got my opportunity to come to a massive football club and I was delighted. I've been working really hard in training and in the gym and I'm playing games,and obviously you are getting your fitness and sharpness in the games."
